Most stores pay you once, when someone buys. Dubrate pays you every time your track is taken — outright or on a subscription — and it's the same 85% either way.
Outright sale
A fan buys your track — at RRP or the price you name. You keep 85% of it, added to your Dubrate earnings balance and transferred to your Stripe account when we next run a payout.
Subscription download
A subscriber spends a download credit on your track. You earn 85% of that credit's value, paid from the subscriber pool — itemised, every single time.

Higher plans pay a touch less per track — but those fans download far more of them. The 85% share never changes.

Placement here is editorial, not algorithmic and not for sale. Our charts and the Hype flag on a track are picked by hand at Dubrate. Any seller account can build and publish its own DJ chart, and you set the Hype flag on your own releases yourself.

Every download can carry a per-buyer forensic watermark, so a leaked file traces back to the account. Your work stays yours.

Payouts are run by hand
There is no scheduled job, no fixed payout day and no rolling cycle — nothing moves until someone at Dubrate runs a batch. There is no minimum, and no self-service "request a payout" button; email support and we will run one. We can only pay you once your Stripe Connect onboarding is complete.
Where your 85% actually sits
Dubrate is the merchant of record: the buyer pays us, and your share is an earnings balance on your Dubrate account. Until a payout transfers it, it sits in Dubrate's own Stripe balance and is not segregated from Dubrate's funds. It is a debt we owe you, not money in an account of yours.
Old tracks go to cold storage
A track that has not been bought for 180 days is moved to cold storage. It stays listed and stays buyable and nobody loses anything they own — but it cannot be downloaded on the spot; it has to be restored first, and restores are not instant. A Hot Storage subscription at £9.99/month keeps your whole catalogue exempt. It is billed separately to your card, not taken out of your earnings.
Tips, fan subs and free downloads
Dubrate takes the same 15% of a tip and of a fan subscription as it does of a sale. Both of those reach your Stripe account without waiting for a payout batch, and both need a completed Connect account. On a free-download campaign no money changes hands and we take nothing.
The binding versions are Terms §3.4 (payouts), §3.6 (storage), §3.7 (tips and subscriptions) and §3.8 (how placement is decided).
