Carl Cox settles in for a second UNVRS season in Ibiza

The veteran's Sunday-night residency at Ibiza's newest superclub returns for a full summer run, from the June opening through to October's closing party.

Carl Cox has returned to UNVRS in San Rafael for a second consecutive season, taking over the newly built Ibiza superclub every Sunday from 21 June through to 4 October 2026. It is an eleven-night run across the summer, with the veteran handed full control over the programming and, in his own framing, licence to expect the unexpected.

The residency spans house, techno and the wider reach of electronic dance music rather than pinning itself to a single lane, which has long been Cox's calling card. After years away from the island, his 2025 return landed hard enough that a Sunday slot has quickly become one of the fixtures the season is built around.

The guest list leans on established weight rather than hype. Sasha & John Digweed, The Martinez Brothers, Luciano, Vintage Culture and Skepta are among the names slotted across the Sundays, alongside the unannounced back-to-backs and drop-in guests the venue is trading on. Cox closes the season himself with an all-night set on 4 October.

UNVRS itself is the other half of the story: a purpose-built room positioned between Ibiza Town and San Antonio, pitched on its production spec as much as its bookings. Standard entry runs roughly €50 to €110 depending on date and arrival time, with tables on top.

For working DJs and independent artists, the pattern is worth clocking. Ibiza's headline economy is consolidating around a small number of marquee residencies and heavyweight names, which raises the ceiling for a handful of established acts while narrowing the door for everyone else. The gigs and the crowds increasingly cluster where the marketing spend already sits, and that shapes what a season on the island is realistically available to most.
